Grizwald Tree!
One of our traditions that we stared in 2009 is to travel to Idaho where my sister lives and cut down our Christmas Tree. Since there isn't much snow this year we were able to drive all the way to the top. We had hot cocoa, ate lunch, sat by the fire and played in the snow. Then it was time to go hunt for that special tree. The perfect tree sang out to us. We cut it down and drug it back to the Truck. We did a few other things before heading out by this time it was getting dark. As we were driving out of the Canyon the Forest Ranger pulls us over. And tells us that we cut down too big of a tree. The permit we got was for a 10 foot or smaller tree. He has Cal get out and help him measure. He measured 12 1/2 feet. (It is so hard to tell the height of a tree in the forest.) This a $150 fine. But we are very lucky he let us off with a warning. When we got home we remeasured because only 9 1/2 foot tree fits in the house. We had a 13 1/2 foot tree. I guess next year we need to either buy a bigger tree permit or measure before we cut down.
Addie did the tree lights with a little of Cal's help. This year we only have 4 strands of lights not our normal 14 strands.Temple Square
The weekend after Thanksgiving we took the front runner with my family down to Temple Square. We first went to City Creek and then we went a cross the street to the see the beautiful lights.
